About Bradford

Des Moines-based singer/songwriter Bradford Johnson has been a professional musician since graduating high school 20 years ago. His love for music has brought him around the world with a guitar in his hands, and he has shared stages with artists such as Weezer, Jonny Lang, Allen Stone, Buddy Guy, Rick Springfield, Imagine Dragons and many other artists. No matter the size of the stage, his performances immerse audiences in a soulful, vulnerable, raw and genuinely human experience.

Bradford believes music is the way to express connection, pain, joy, loss, growth or despair. He was drawn to music at a young age as a place of solace, self-expression and protection.

Bradford takes his influences from soul, punk, pop, and new wave music, and creates an eclectic experience for those in attendance. His sets are a carefully curated mix of original music, obscure 80s, 90s and 00s b-sides and old retro classics. His ability to adjust the setlist in realtime to match the energy of the room makes him invaluable in enhancing events of any type.
